In several current publications, the emphasis is Heart Disease! A national health magazine dedicated an entire front page to this topic with graphic images and a headline stating "You Don't Have To Die Of A Heart Attack!"

The article reminds us to lower our cholesterol, do regular, mild, cardiovascular exercise and eat right.  It's the same story we've been hearing for years. They're right, but we need more.

Most people think it will not happen to them.  But 50 percent of the population of industrialized countries die from cardiovascular disease. The United States is one of the most industrialized countries in the world.  That means that one out of every two people are likely to die from some form of cardiovascular disease.

If appropriate action is not taken to effectively change your lifestyle, then you have a 50/50 chance to develop cardiovascular disease - resulting in risking your health and likely eventually death.  If this isn't enough motivation, a mental evaluation is in order.

More than 61 million Americans currently suffer from CD (Cardiovascular Disease).  According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), high blood pressure is the primary disorder, followed by coronary heart disease, stroke, and congestive heart failure.  CD is the leading cause of death in America, says the CDC.  Over vehicle wrecks, war and everything in between, heart attack is the number one leading cause of death.

Over 70 percent of heart disease deaths occur before a person can be admitted to a hospital,
and about 48 percent of stroke victims die before emergency medical personnel arrive!

The age group for these disorders are getting younger all the time.  Currently, middle aged women are more likely to have a heart attack than men of the same age.

It's amazing how many people in the health field, especially in natural medicine, still smoke cigarettes and drink alcoholic beverages regularly. Resistance to "sacrificial" changes seems to prevail for most people to some degree.

I notice this resistance in the lectures and classes that we provide across the country. I speak on common lifestyle habits that interfere with good health and an efficient immune system.  Some of these are the metallic objects and watches people wear, and the wearing of synthetic fabrics and blended clothing. I find that in a small group of approximately twenty five people, only five or less will make any change over the next few days, such as not wearing their watch. They are made aware, it has been demonstrated and understand that objects like watches are stumbling blocks to living healthier and preventing disease, but typically still don't fully understand the direct and probable severe repercussions.  Many have health issues, but are still unwilling to make the changes to help recover their health - when it comes to lifestyle changes.
